| | | | I saw Metallica on August 1, 1986. I was 13 and it was my first concert. They opened for Ozzy on his Ultimate Sin tour. It was an awesome show from both groups. Hetfield had a broken arm from a skateboarding accident and couldn't play guitar. They had somebody else play from another band. I can't remember who. |

Also going to play a lot of Orion on bass. The first piece of music I learned on bass.
After 9 years of playing bass, Cliff is still my hero.
A highly gifted musician, who's work is still misunderstood by some bassists.
Cliff, rest in peace, you're legacy won't. |

I think he was part of Metallica's roadcrew, and if I'm not mistaken he was later in Metal Church. |

Strangely enough it is my B-Day today, and I was born five years after the day Cliff died |

But loss of human life is always tragic, RIP Cliff Burton

Most people don't realize what impact Cliff had on metal.
Imagine if those 4 years he was doing his part never happened. Quote:

I like Jason's playing a bit more(just), but Cliff was incredible.

But it seems to me he might've already been in Metal Church while he played with them. Seems I remember when announcing him they mentioned metal church. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
