They just languish on the wall, but the Fenders and Gibson shoot right out the door. Interestingly, the Artcore guitars sell very well, just not the Ibby basses.

(I hope it's the latter)
Does anyone know any popular bassists who swear by them? | Look up a pro by the name of Gerald Veasley. He only played with folks like
Grover Washington Jr. And the Joe Zawinal Syndicate.

I just really don't like the way they look. Also, seems like most of their higher end basses are active, which is another turn off for me. |

A guy like Sting never never has to worry about losing a gig 'cause the chick singer thinks his bass isn't cool, or doesn't like the color.
The right clothes, the right hair, the right rig, the right attitude and the right array of basses, are all part of a touring pro's toolkit. If they can get comfortable with a nice, safe custom shop Fender (or a high-end clone), why try to push water uphill by carrying an Ibanez SR? |

They were pretty popular in the late 90's-early 00's cause of their slim necks and ability to handle low tunings. | Sam Rivers is a Warwick Guy... and to my knowledge had been for most-all of their popularity... However, Wes Borland (LB Original Guitarist) was an Ibby Man.

I have sense to know if a bass works for me or not, and I have sense enough to know that a bass that works for someone else may not work at all for me.
Ibanez makes a whole lot of basses, and most of them are much better built that most bassists give them credit for producing.
