Commander-of-Funk?

(In case someone has already posted about this, I did a search and got no returns. If there is and I missed it, sorry for double-posting.)

Were you aware that our new presidente is a cellist and an electric bass player. Wait, let me rephrase that, he's a bass player and a cellist.

It's not something that the campaign talked much about (especially the cellist bit) because they were really trying to tamp down the whole 'elitist' thing. But my wife did some volunteering for the campaign in Pittsburgh and satyed with a family who know the Obamas well (Michelle actually called the house during dinner). And they relayed the story that he's been an musician for sometime. I haven't been able to turn up in any photographic evidence yet. I got no idea what his chops are like. I found that to be a very groovy tidbit.

I hope you're right. If so, this would be the first time I voted for a bass player in a general election. Even though Clinton wasn't a very good sax player, at least we saw a side of the president that involved creativity, instead of the last 8 years of death and destruction.

And that is why nothing will change. Srsly though, politics are forbidden on TB. Let's just keep the talk to the Pres as a "celebrity" who may turn out to be a closet bass player.

Unfortunately for him, his chops will get rusty for the next 4 years. I hope he gets to put a little time in once in a while.

Flunky: "Sir, Medvedev is on the phone."
BO: "Not now, I'm groovin'!"

Fascinating. All politics aside, I wonder if we could put a celeb fantasy act together? Barrack on Bass, Bill on Sax...Condi on keyboards..
