Concert ideas?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a question. My uncle offered to take himself, my pops, and I to a show of my choice as a birthday present this year. Im stuck though, as I dont know who to try and look into/get tickets to.

Can you guys give me some ideas? My favorite bands/genres are very broad, but I love everything from The Derek Trucks Band to Dave Matthews Band to Incubus.

But it needs to be a show they can both adapt to, so no Jay Z, Victor Wooten, etc. My dad wouldnt mind, but I want it to be an all around fun time.

Any band with a killer bassist running a Fender through Ampeg gets and an extra point from me.

Thanks in advance!

Go see a band that you like and that you know the songs...shows are much more better when you already know the songs well IMO.

I agree, and most of the bands Im thinking of, Im very familiar with. But I honestly dont know of all the bands touring right now. Plus, IMO, going to a show and being blown away by someone new was never a bad thing!

Thats how it was when I saw Derek Trucks. My dad drug me along, I didnt want to go, and now Im hooked. I just didnt know who he was, and didnt want to waste my time.. What a mistake that would have been!
