I know I know, the dreaded nu-metal. Either way, I absolutely love his tone and have wanted to have something similar for forever but i just cant seem to get close. Anyone have any idea how hes getting it? he plays a peavey 4 string through a peavey tour 700. I also have the peavey tour 700 with an ibanez ergodyne. I can dial in just about anything but I am pretty lost when it comes to effects and whatnot. It sounds like hes just cranking the highs cause it has a metallic ching to it. Anyone have any ideas?

Those are some OLD tunes lol!
But yeah I <3 those guys, kinda like 7D Lite, so it's all good.

Was the Tour 700 around when he recorded that? If not you probably wanna try and see what he was using then.
Vince (7D) has been using Peavey a long time too but before that it was Marshall VBA amps and Mesa Powerhouse 1000 cabs, and I'm not sure when he switched. I know at least for Home he was still using the Marshall/Mesa setup. But his tone is a lot more growly w/ not as much top end bite.

Corey has a pretty crystalline tone that's a lotta high mids + pick so see what your amp has in the 900hz+ range and fiddle w/ that a bit.

I dont think so. i was under the impression that the tour 700 is fairly new, but it is what hes using now for sure. Ill try to crank the high mids and see if that helps.
