\m/ I'm really excited for this, Ron Royce is one of my favorite bass players. He has a wicked 3 finger style that really predates a lot of the florida DM players.

I think they are playing Maryland Deathfest too. Sadly I'm all the way across the country Definitely hoping for a full reunion tour.

Coroner were just unbelievably good and criminally underrated. Just hope this spawns a full club tour.

Just wish Dead Brain Cells would do the same thing...

The news have been around for a while now. They are playing two shows that I know of. Unfortunately money is to tight right now, otherwise I'd be flying to France to see them. Men I hope they add more tourdates and come to Germany.

I toured with these guys back in the day when I was with Atrophy. Couldnt ask for a nicer group of guys to live in a bus with for two months.

Hey man...Atrophy! Got socialised hate on vinyl back in 89 or whenever. Scratched to death now mind!

Just out of interest, what's it like standing off stage watching someone like Coroner, knowing you had to play with them every night? Don't mean that in any disrespectful way at all....i loved (and still do) all that late 80's early 90's thrash. There were a ton of good bands - Atrophy included - that just seem to come and go. Acrophet, INC, DBC, Toxik, Realm, etc..

Often wonder what fellow musicians think when they have to share a stage with a band who are just great great players.

Thank you! Its amazing how after an absence, thrash or speed metal seems to be having a new lease on life.

Ah, yes, it's going to be brilliant!
I wonder why TB doesn't talk about Ron Royce more... all posts I make about him/Coroner get ignored! Why? He's so good...

Try it, though. You might like it. It's fun.

True!!! He's one of the reasons I play a Zon bass... Would Joe Zon be offering a Scepter Ron Royce model???

It was just as fun for me to watch them on the side of the stage as it was for the people standing in the front. You end up becoming friends and are just excited for their success. Out of all the guitar players I toured with, Tommy and the guys from Forbidden were my favorites.

That's cool to know. What a refreshing change to read of a humble and enthusiastic attitude. Most musicians seem so far up their own backsides it's untrue. Glad to see you aren't bitter or jaded by the business. Good on ya!

I'd pay silly money to watch coroner even just soundcheck! Along with Rush, Primus and Nomeansno my favourite three pieces.
