Could somebody photoshop this for me?

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a pretty tall order but I've seen guys on the site do some pretty impressive stuff before.

So, I've got an idea in my head of a Jazz Bass. I'm thinking Midnight Wine with a black pickguard but instead of the standard neck, a maple neck with pearl blocks and a tele bass headstock.

If anybody could photoshop this together so that I may at least see it, I would be deeply grateful

Forget the pearl blocks, that looks damn sexy with the black. I'd tap that. Two-handed, with some artificial harmonics.

It's a nice bass but forget about the tele bass headstock... I like the colours and the maple neck.

Yeah, maybe not the tele bass headstock, that part definitely looked better in my head. But that looks SEXY. Thank you so much, I'm thinking I'll need one with black blocks and another with pearl blocks... Which I will get with my imaginary money I guess. Oh well, I think it's a worthy goal. Again, thank you so, so much, it's gorgeous!

Nick, I agree with you. The black blocks match the pickguard very nicely and IMO pearl blocks would make the neck look like it totally doesn't belong in the body. Throw in a graphite nut (I thought I'd 'shop that but I forgot) and that'll be one awesome looking instrument.

Just my opinion though...

Awesome looking!

If you want pearl blocks, get a pearl guard too.

Love that look. I'm thinking of something like that for a P with a Modulus neck. Body would be redburst, though. Definitely like the black on red.

With your approval, atheos, I added some pearl blocks.

I love that bass especially the Tele head the only thing I would want is a Precision pick ups with it with a jazz pick up at the bottom. I would love to see a Green Rickenbacker 4003 like how the Fireglo looks dark red to light red as it closes in, but green that is a dream of mine.

Do you have some stock pix or what did you start with?

I actually really love the pearl blocks as well. I'm tempted to just list ALL of my dream basses but I don't want to burden you people who are actually taking the time to do all the computer work that I am oh so inept at.

Like others here who are into a little "shoppin'", I like the occasional challenge–time permitting. I'm sure it wouldn't be a wasted effort to assemble a few stock body shapes in different finishes along with different neck treatments; add a few popular pickup configurations and a few choice pick guards, and a lot of "dream" basses can become a (virtual) reality.

Agreeing with others, the only thing I would change is the headstock, I'd like the regular Jazz headstock. But otherwise, beautiful!

Ok, after seeing the Jazz with a Tele headstock, I got a mad idea!
But I don't have PS, so just for giggles, with MS Paint, I made the Jazzcaster!

I know it looks like crap, but the idea could be good!

The Tele head works better with pearl blocks for sure.
