Down in the "Bassists" section of the forum there's a whole "Country Bassists Club"...

I'm doing a whole lotta country since I moved from Palo Alto, CA to Lexington, Kentucky and then on to Denton, Texas. It's fine. I love it, and Norbert Putnam and Charlie McCoy are two of my heros. If you want to gig regularly and perform with some fine players, country is a lively genre.

I've been known to swing that way. I mostly play in rock bands, but I've done a fair amount of country gigs.

I've been in a country band for a couple years now. Lots of fun and good gigs, who could ask for more!

I've played mostly rock, but not so long ago I spent 5-6 years in a country/blues/southern rock band and really learned to enjoy and appreciate playing (and listening to!) country--I'd do it again in a minute, if I had time for a second band...
