I dug Ginger's drumming better on the reunion than on the originals, I thought his groove was deeper now.

Listen to "Horses and Trees" by Ginger with Bill Laswell. Also the Ginger Baker Trio with Charlie Haden and Bill Frisell. Convinced me that Ginger Baker is simply the most MUSICAL drummer ever. And that appreciation helped me hear Cream, both the original recordings (live and studio) and the reunion stuff better.

I also though he was better on the 2005 reunion, thought Jack and Eric were too. I also though the Bruce, Baker, Moore was really good and not so good when Ginger left.

As a bassist, I'd love to play with a drummer like Ginger who chops up the beat.
Really opens the door for creative bass lines.
