I feel like I should know this, but I don't. Who is currently playing bass for CS&N on their 2009/2010 tour? I was watching the 2009 Rock Hall of Fame concert and he and the drummer were really locked in. I went to CS&N's website and their is no reference to the musicians backing them. I dunno...kinda bad when groups like this don't give their backing musicians any credit at all. Just sayin' you know....

last time I saw them thier drummer was a 25 year veteran of CSN.
Bass players were changing every other year.

Last time I saw them in 2000 (CSNY2K) the rhythm section was Jim Keltner and Duck Dunn. The most recent bassist I've heard of with CSN was Rick Rosas.

Thanks. So that's who it is. As much as I have heard about Bob Glaub, I think this was the first time I had seen him. Terrific bassist. Also, probably explains why he was also playing a Lakland bass at the MSG concert.

Yeah, you watch how guys like that back up the big boys & girls and you see why they've had a 35 year career.

I worded it badly, I was just talking about Glaub's career.

Didn't know Duck Dunn played with them. I'm a big fan of Greg Reeve's in terms of their bassists.

I'm reading Jack Bruce's biography. Early on, Stephen Stills asked him to join CS&N. When he found out that they didn't want him to sing, he turned down the gig.

Reeves was great on Deja Vu. Very underrapreciated in terms of that album.

i'll say this about that. back in those days, NOBODY ever put the musicians' names on an album unless they were actual band members. they wouldn't even get a tiny credit on the record sleeve. deja vu was the first album to ever put the backup musicians' names on the front cover. so i think they did ok in appreciation

They were cool with that until Reeves started bringing in some of his own songs, then not so much.

Sure, but, I mean... his basslines on that album are very good, yet almost no one seems to recognise that!

Reeves playing on Neil Young's 'After The Goldrush' is also a overlooked gem.

Bob Glaub is one groove monster.
Hundreds of albums to his credit.
Seen him years ago with Jackson Brown.
P-bass tone for days.

The chappie who played on Harvest was also quite good.
