Damian Erskine, has anyone heard of him?

Has anyone heard of this guy? I recently met him and he has to be the best player I have ever seen live. Spectacular grove and timing. He has studied with all the greats and is a nifty guy himself. At the gig he was playing, it was pretty relaxed and he just goes over the drum set and again stuns me with his skill. He was a lot better then most drummers I know, including some that have their very own DVDs. This guy is an up and comer, but has anyone heard of him. His uncle or cousin is supposedly a super famous drummer himself.

Any relation to Peter Erskine?

*Edit: never mind. Just checked out his website. He's Peter's nephew!

I sold Damian a Zon about a month ago. Very nice guy, and when I checked out his website I was very impressed with his music. Seems like the kind of guy I'd like to hang out with if I was in that area.

Yup, met him at NAMM in Anaheim last January and we have been keeping in correspondence ever since. Really cool cat!

There is a clip of him and Kai Eckhardt playing together in this killer organic big band setting, on his myspace page... check it out. He is very talented!

If you were the one he bought the Zon from, he had nothing but great things to say about you. He really appreciated your support. He even let me play is bass a bit and it was really sweet.

Mine is the six-string with the goncalo alves top (looks reddish-brown) that he technically bought for a student.
