Dan Briggs, one of the best?

I've been really getting into between the buried and me lately especially their album Colours and I never really realised until now how intense Dan Briggs really is. Not only does he manage to keep up (and in time) with the rest of the band, but his lines are interesting and not just what the guitarist plays. Informal Gluttony, White Walls and Ants of the Sky are the best songs on the album but the crazy bit in Decade of Statues really blows my mind.

I highly recommend this band and their albums Colours and Alaska!

Oh yea... The whole band is amazing...

I remember getting a single walking out of a show with "Sun of Nothing" on it and reading "One hour, 10 minutes, and 9 seconds of jaw dropping musicianship you say? We shall see..."

I was amazed because... it really was!!!

love BTBAM. my gf bought me the colors DVD (on accident lol, she thought it was a rise against cd because it was right next to it and we both like rise against so she "surprised" me with it thinking it was rise against and i asked her if she like BTBAM. she never heard of them. long story kind of short, she felt dumb but it was an mistake that was good haha. we laugh at it now she loves BTBAM)

anyways, Dan is an amazing bass player, i believe he has breather a lot of life into the youth bass players of today. by showing that bass isnt for root notes only

Their last album, Alaska is amazing as well. Check it out also.

If I want to listen to ambient music, I'll listen to real ambient music.

I saw them in Nashville like 4 months ago. The have a pretty good stage presence but I was hardcore to see them play all of colors non-stop. (even though they cut a little bit out)
