Daniel Maza, great latin bassist

I strongly recomend to listen some music of this great bassist.
He was born in Uruguay (1959) and play mostly jazz, funk and latin music (like bolero, candombe).-
He is a great singer too.

Check his oficial web page.

Very cool guy and an endless groove, had the chance to take some classes with him, a grat experience for me. He deserves way more recognition, played as a session bassist with many musicians, as Celia Cruz, Luis Salinas, Fattoruso, etc.
I know his main influences are Luizao Maia, Jaco, Abraham Laboriel, cuban music, funk and candombe. I can compare his groove with the groove of Richard Bona...
Here is a song I like very much, great solo!
