Daniel Morgan (Ralph Randolph and The Family Band)

I've been catching Ralph Randolph on TV a lot latley, and his bass player totally smokes. Very funky but very tasteful and melodic also. It loooks like he's playing through some Edens. His falsetto backup vocals really add to the music also.

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts?

I think his name is Robert, not Ralph.

Anyway, I saw 'em live a while back and they blew me away, Their bassist is hellacious and has not formal training whatsoever.

Danyel Morgan.
Robert Randolph.

Both excellent players. Awesome band. Although their live recordings blow the studio album away IMO.

Ahh, sorry about all the misspellings of people's names. I guess I typed "Ralph" because I was thinking "steel guitar" and "Ralph Mooney".

I got the spelling of "Daniel" from www.allmusic.com though.
