I know this is one cat who doesn't get much mention around these here parts but I just finished watching a Larry Carlton DVD filmed back in '91 or so and this dude is bad@$$!! He was playing a 6 string Fodera. Another observation I made was I saw an Alesis 4x10 cab on stage! Did Alesis do amps and cabs back then? I know they have some smaller combos of late but I don't recall them doing pro applications other than keyboards, drum machines and keyboards.

Anyone know what Dave Carpenter is up to these days?

I saw him w/ Allan Holdsworth @ Jazzfest Leverkusen a few years ago.
They took the stage after Mike Stern, who played with Lincoln Goines and Dave Weckl - and blew them away. Dave's playing was amazing, great lines and grooves.

Great player! I think he might be doing more upright work these days, he's playing upright on Lee Ritnour's Overtime DVD.
