Great bassist. kept the groove going. doesnt overplay!!!! thats my huge problem-overplaying and being a groove-killer.

I've been revisiting a lot of the old Santana music lately and digging the work David Brown did on Borboletta when he came back to the band after Rauch left. Carlos always had great taste in bassist, every one of them ruled!

Here's Brown with Santana in Ghana, 1971. He's playing the same bass Doug Rauch used to use. Either it was Rauch' bass since he was at the same festival playing with The Voices Of East Harlem or Brown sold it to Dougie.
