Death From Above 1979's Bass Tone

If you've heard of them, you know that they're just vocals, keys, bass, and drums. But their bass + key sounds are amazing!

Does anyone know any ways to achieve the sound, or can help me find out what he uses? I want to cover one of DFA1979's songs with my band.

I've tried to achieve the sound with a Digitech Bass Synth Wah pedal and I couldn't get too far with it. Infact, the pedal doesn't even work correctly anymore.

So yeah, please help me out?
