what does he use to get that tubey, fuzz sound?

Two separate amplifiers. He sends his clean signal thorugh a 1959 Fender Bassman and he dirties it up with a '67 Marshall Plexi/Marshall Keyboard 8x10.

Live he plays w/an Alembic F-1X, QSC Power amps and Eden cabs.
