Question Demis Roussos - Bass Player?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I was on holiday in Greece last week and noticed a few posters for a concert in Preveza, by Demis Roussos. Nothing unusual - but the posters featured a photo where he seemed to be playing a black MusicMan bass guitar!!??

Now I only know if him as the high pitched singer in an enormous kaftan - so does anybody know if he's any good as a bass player?

Do we have any Greek TB'ers?

All I could find was that he did vocals and bass in the progressive rock band Aphrodite's Child (Vangelis was another member of that band).

Don't know if they were any good.

It seems this is the only thread mentioning Demis Roussos... I know there is some really nice bass playing on the Aphrodite's Child album 666, but I know there is someone else (Harris Halkitis) listed in the credits as a guest bass player, so I have no idea which guy played on what tracks... I remembered the album when reading the "Prog rock Bassists" thread, and have found it difficult to find any info online about the details of the bass guitar playing for the band....
