Armstrong might be cool in a nostalgic sort of way, though I don't guess he's very relevant now. The rest of the guys on card, meh. |

I think part of the problem was that Low Down Sound was in the process of closing down in the months prior to the concert. LDS had big part in the success of the last BassFest, and they unfortunately were already kind of 'out of the game' by the time this one came around.
That being said, I have to agree with you that it would be hard to fill a large room and bring in enough revenue in order to make a profit on something like this. It's a pretty limited audience. |

Twice this year I put on a bass event here in Chicago and it was a blast(a sold out house) and it's not even guaranteed that it will be a success each each time.
Concerts get canceled for all types of reasons. It's just the business that we are in.
Sometimes acts even get canceled right in the middle of a big tour.
No matter what you may think about any of the acts on the Detroit Bass Fest bill, the show will definitely pick up, just at a later date and time.
There was a second Bass event that was scheduled to take place in Cali and it was canceled as well. It happens no matter who may be on the bill.

Terrance Palmer..really...you need to get all the Isreal Houghton New Breed cd's and his "Love Letters" what a stink'in GROOVE!!
