Devin is an all around hilarious dude, but when he got to the part about bassists in this video I completely lost it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=102mdX-UEzI |

peace Capt Kirk | Man he has been a part of SOOO many different projects over the years. No matter what youre into, he probably has an album out there somewhere that would appeal to you.
Im a Strapping Young Lad fan myself. His newest album Ki is amazing as well under the moniker of The Devin Townsend Project.
The thing with Devin is that he is so talented technically, but he puts all his focus into song writing. More than anything else, the guy can write an amazing song while putting much more weight into the artistic side of the music than the guts and glory/show off side of it. His approach to music is something that the industry as a whole could take a lesson or 2 in.
Top 5 guitarist to have ever lived in my book. |

after that he went and played a gig to about 100 people in a 1000 seater venue, and played like it was sold out.
utmost respect for the guy.
the city and infinity albums are excellent.
