I watched their "Touch of Grey" video and I couldn't find a bass player, but it sounds like there's a bass player playing on the D and G string a lot. Or is that a guitar playing low?

| | | | ... For the record I've only heard one song by them (that I'm aware of) and in the video they do not have a bassist (I looked for like, 20 minutes). I think they must've replaced it with a guitar since a bass is so heavy and the puppetier had to cope with all that weight... I should probably shutup...

Jesus, of course the Dead had a bassist. Asking if the Dead had a bassist is akin to asking if the Who had one. They were doing basically the same thing on opposite sides of the world in two totally different bands, but either question puts you probably in the 3rd Circle of Hell or so.

Billy ended up at Hughes Electronics, but in the course of his app, we checked out the spohisitcation of Phil''s setup. Man, he was way into it, deep, white noise, pink noise, all sorts of esoteric EE stuff. This is circa 1982.
Yeah, I'm an old F.
