Did Mark King use a Zon bass on "Something about you" video ??

I knew he used to play Alembic and Status, but that bass looks like a modified Zon Scepter.

I can't seem to open the video, but Mark has been most often seen and identified with a Jaydee Supernatural bass made by John Diggins in the UK.

I got a chance to play that bass years ago. The Bass Centre, back when it was in Wapping in London, had it, complete with Mark King's signature on the back. And it's a Legacy, not a Scepter. Very nice bass. Shame I wasn't a good enough player back then to do it any justice.

...

Thread resurrection!

That's a Zon Legacy bass, not a Scepter... old logo on the headstock... probably one of the first that they made.

And yes, that's a Kahler tremolo.

KILLER song... one of my favorites from this era.

I'm sorry, but Mark King looks so uncomfortable with his bass up like that. It actually looks like it hurts.

Not sure if he was ever an "endorsing artist", he's not mentioned anywhere on that timeline, but John Giblin was using Zon basses in the early 1980s.
