Thumbs up Dirk Lance - of Incubus

Yeah... prolly one of my favs too... I am just listening to that song 'Battlestar Scralatchtica', i really love the bassline to this song... The Turn-Tables in this song are really good as well. Does anyone know what kind of bass Dirk plays?

Just getting into Incubus here...Dig what I hear on the radio and think I will buy their newest cd.Sorry, but I did`nt even know the bass player`s name I think he rocks though! Currently I am trying to learn two of their songs:
Pardon Me,and Drive.Challenging but also fun.Does he really play a 5 stringer? All the tabs I have seen for them are posted in standard 4 string format....hmmmm

Incubus is one of the few groups out there that actually use the turntables to enhance the music, not overdo it.Kudos to them!

I always thought Dirk used a 4 string... mainly because all the tab i have seen is in 4 string format. If anyone has the tab to Battlestar Scralatchtica i would _really_ like them becuase that has to be my fav song by them for the moment...

Dirk is the man! i love his technique so much i always thought he played a 4 string too?? I just learned how to play nowhere fast (not a hard song at all) but i love it, just because their music is so offbeat! the drums and bass and guitar are all on a different beat and it makes a techniqual sound! so great! anyway! Like i said in the beginning Dirk is the man!!!!

You've got to see him and incubus live!!!
Listening to them live is just like listening to the album, very accurate amongst all the effects they use. They are one of the most talented group of MUSICIANS out there right now. No question, Dirk Lance is one of the coolest bass players out there and has a pretty good porn name.

Out of all the new wave of 'skate' music, I find that Incubus is the only good music of that style I have heard.

a couple guys in the groups have nicknames. dirk lance is really alex katunich; jawa is really mike einzinger (sp?), etc. you can probably check the website for the most accurate info.
