I had heard some rumors that he might be the new Jamiroquai bassist, but I believe these were false.

I'm pretty sure he started a company (forgot the name of it) that will record music for video games...

This is true. As for the Jami rumours, they had the wrong Alex.

Dirk Lance is a bad @ss bass player, I hope he's doing something. At the least a solo project.

Alex has started a company called Stickman Entertainment which aims at the video gaming industry. I actually just put him and his group in contact with some possible new clients. We shall see what happens.

Two doubts about this guy:

1- the name is Alex Katunich or Dirk Lance??

2- Why did he left the band after all? (I'm sure there are rumours)

1) Dirk is a stage name.

2) Word is, he got tired of doing the slow songs and totally abandoning their old style..

Dirk is his pornstar name

I don't blame him, old Incubus is kick ass, the generic crap they are putting out now disgusts me.

hey man, there's nothing wrong with Make Yourself or Morning View now, it's great stuff...I like 'Blood on the Ground', '11 am', 'Battlestar Scralachita', 'Make Yourself'... yeah, it's a departure from their old stuff but all great bands do it.

Battlestar Scratchlactica is the only reason I own Make Yourself. And it's the only track I really like off the album.

Medium off Fungus Amongus is probably their best song, despite someone idiot subject matter, it's a kick ass tune. Good album. Along with SCIENCE, after that they became less concerned with making music.

Too true. Dirk/Alex left the sinking ship before it sunk deeper into the MTV wastelands...mind you, he was already waist deep when he swam off.

There's a difference between growing up and making more mature music, which is what great bands do, and abandoning and selling out.

I'm with Matt on this one...Morning View and Make Yourself were big hunks of junk.
