Does michael lepond(symphony x) blow john myung(dream theater) out of the water... ?

so i talked with a drummer/guitarist i know about different bass players and he's a big fan of symphony x and dream theater, he said that michael lepond totally outplays myung... he's been to 3 dream theater gigs and 4 symphony x gigs so it's not like he dont know what each bass player is capable of...

i'm not trying to start a versus thread, but i haven't heard too much from symphony x and i'm a big dream theater fan and i love myung... is there like any particular symphony x song that would truely demonstrate leponds capability ? Even though he said he was improvising, and he was probably not perfectly sober(if you can say something like that )... but maybe there's some truth in his words after all... ?

I love Symphony X. I'll have to go through my CDs and find some spots where he shines. I think they are both amazing bassists, but I will say that Michael cuts through a little more than John.

I just remembered that Michael Lepond is pretty sick right now It's something wrong with his stomach, but he's getting better. However, they did have to cancel some shows.
