Or is there more too it?
Because he seems to not rest his thumb on anything whilst playing E but floating thumb...dont you rest it on the picktup?

He uses floating thumb on the other strings accept for the E where he just has his hand loose

correct and i requires a lot of practice to be jumping and running around like that
