Dominique Piazza

I've read about other bassists saying nice things about him,but I don't know about his work.I only know that he used to work with John Mclaughlin. Can anyone recommend anything that he played that is good or inspiring?

I have him on McLaughlin's "Que Alegria". This guy is INCREDIBLY fast. A little too Jaco-ish for my taste in terms of tone, phrasing and note choice.

Check out Kai Eckhardt, who plays on a couple of tracks on that album, as well as "Live at the Royal Festival Hall", also the John McLaughlin Trio.. THERE'S some great, inspiring basswork.

This incredible bassist is exactly named Dominique Di Piazza.
He's a real virtuoso (and he's french ... woohooo )
He stopped playing bass for a while and recently went back "into the scene" with a new album (in a trio).
I'll look for the other musicians and album title.
