I like the bass part, but she sings like a man. It sounds like she's in the tenor range.

shes a latin guitar player, so she is playing more like guitar fingerpicking than slaping, its pretty sweet.

That was sweet! I admire anyone who can lay down a good slap groove and sing lead. I don't that P/J slap tone, but who I am to tell her about tone?

She does not sound like a man. She has a sexy contralto voice!

True, she had never touched a bass before rehearsing for this show. She plays acoustic guitar and sings.

I don't think that is P/J tone so much as it is Warwick tone IMO...very dark sounding lows there. I have had a couple Fender P/Js and they sounded nothing like that when slapped. They sounded like...., well, Fenders. Even my Spector P/J had a more mid-oriented sound when slapped than that Warwick does.

She is very good and her tone, while not my cup o' tea either, was very good too. I get a similar tone when I play a Warwick, though her slapping technique, or whatever technique it is, is quite a bit better than mine. Good find!

Seu Jorge kicks ass. I've been a fan since seeing him in "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". Nice slap lick from the girl too.

Sorry ya'll, but that's not slap. She's picking like in classical guitar with a very low action...
