Okay TB'ers here's the question. If you could choose one fantasy rhythm section who would it be?

Geddy Lee and Omar Hakim...

Well mine was a real one for about 12 years. Scott Ambush and Joel Rosenblatt from Spyro Gyra. Joel is now gone so if I want a dream rhythm section, it would be for Scott and Joel to be together again.

I would have loved to hear Jimmy Johnson alongside Carlos Vega!!

Richard Bailey/Randy Hope-Taylor.

Keith Carlock/Tom Barney.

Sorry but, in this instance, reality seems to beat anything I can come up with in terms of a "fantasy" partnership.

McCartney/ Bohnam. They did kinda play together in public once. But there were like 50 other guys jamming too.

Buddy Rich/Nick Oliveri; would be pretty weird.

Billy Conway/Sting; not as good as Conway with Sandman but would be great none the less.

I think the Wooten/Chambers combination has happened IIRC.

Sometimes fantasies can be reality.

I had a house band gig with Sean Chase (Walter Beasley) on drums and Leroy "Scooter" Taylor (Marcus Miller) on keys.
