Duck Dunn has passed

This comes via a couple of folks that would know. He was the reason I started playing bass. He will be sorely missed. Frankly, I am stunned.

I just saw a few tweets that said the same thing- what terrible news. As much of an influence as Motown's bassists have been, I was always more of a Stax guy. God bless Duck Dunn.

This was on Steve Cropper's Facebook Page:
"Today I lost my best friend, the World has lost the best guy and bass player to ever live. Duck Dunn died in his sleep Sunday morning May 13 in Tokyo Japan after finishing 2 shows at the Blue Note Night Club."
Really sad!

Wow. RIP. I must say though, "died in his sleep Sunday morning May 13 in Tokyo Japan after finishing 2 shows at the Blue Note Night Club" seems like the best possible way for him to go!

Exar's business is on hold for now. I will still help previous customers.
