Duff,s other band, Loaded. I never knew he was in another band or played guitar for that matter. Interesting......

Duff is underrated as a bassist IMO, some of the stuff on AFD flat out grooves...

VERY underrated, some just think he's just some regular punk bassist. He does not just play root notes, his basslines are so great.

He has gotten better, but his time on GNR Appetite for Destruction is all over the road. But he didn't get much help from their drummer either, whose time was even worse.

Can't fault the energy though and I've always liked his tone and his melodic approach. For a guitarist-on-bass he does OK.

During some time there he had some other great lines as well.

Yeah, he was pretty cool there for a while, is he still alive and playing?

Did you know he also played in an '80s hardcore band from Seattle called "The Fartz?" If you like hardcore punk, check it out.

He's out there in Velvet Revolver with Slash. He is an underrated player and an underrated person as well. I remember after GnR combusted he became a buddhist or something, and started taking business classes to prepare for another sort of future all together. Not a huge fan of his, or theirs, or anything but it's always nice to hear radio songs with a bass player rather than a bassist.

And you gotta love that white P with black fingerboard.
