Dug Pinnick and Jeff Ament on Jimmy Fallon

Sign in to disble this ad
Tres Mts. (Three Mountains) was the musical guest on Jimmy Fallon's show tonight (3/24).

For those unfamiliar, the band includes members of King's X and Pearl Jam, with Pinnick on rhythm guitar, Ament on bass and Mike McCready on lead guitar.

I just learned of the band earlier today, when a friend posted a mention of the upcoming Fallon performance on Facebook.

It was a good song and performance. Anyone else see it?

Didn't catch it last night, but saw it online today. I thought it was amazing.

Cool tune.

Anyone else think Doug Pinnick looks a little bit like Obama?

Actually, this is a "web exclusive", which was not broadcast. They played another song during the show that was also killin'.

Gotta give Jimmy credit... I find him flat out annoying, but he gets some *good* music on his show.

Good stuff! As usual, Jeff's playing a unique bass.

Man... Dug on guitar has got to be bringing back some serious Hendrix flashbacks for the old-timers.

You take that back!!!

Jeff's about as solid as they come, without being too flashy/showoff-ish

No doubt Jeff can hold down the low end, but Doug has such an interesting style and killer vocals. I just hate the thought of him not on bass. I'm sure his guitar work is just as impressive

Just hit the blog link at top and it's 1 or 2 entries down. Have watched it as the page it take you to is blocked at work, but the other one wasn't.

What they should do is have Dug take the 12-string Hamer out of mothballs and play that as the "rhythm guitar" with Ament playing traditional bass on the 4-string.

That could be a gi-normous sound.
