I saw ZZ TOP last night in France. Awesome gig (but the sound was way too loud) and I could not stop watching Dusty. He's an incredible bassist. I love the way he stops the groove, let ring a note... His vibrato is really great too and his sound is

Great band, great music and stage presence.

For me, the best part of the show was the cover of Willie Brown, "Future Blues".

Yes, he's one of those somewhat overlooked Greats, with amazing tones and ideas. He and Billy and Frank are an earth-moving machine.

Yep. Great band. I just watched their performance from the Crossroads festival in Chicago 2010.

I first saw ZZ as an opener back about 1973-75 at a concert in the old Tampa stadium, when they were skinny as rails. Don't remember who they opened for. I DO remember them walking out on stage with clean shaven faces, white wall haircuts, western shirts, straight leg jeans and cowboy hats. Looked like twins. My drummer looked at me and I looked at him and we said in unison 'who are THESE guys?'

They opened with 'I Heard It On The X'....

My drummer and I once again looked at each other and said in unison 'WHO ARE THESE GUYS?!!!!'

I would have loved to see them when they opened for the Allman Brothers with Duane on his last tour. But that would have meant getting to see Duane and Berry, too...
