Hey, does anyone know what type of gear Dusty was using when they recorded " Thunderbird "? He has such a grinding tone on that song that I was wondering if he used a overdrive pedal of some sort.

dusty hill's grinding tone is courtesy of an early 50's precision with the single coil pickup and micing a tube amp turned up really loud. no idea what he used for an amp, but that bass on fandango is the bass he used for years to record and still might.
