The gig was pretty good. We killed the first set, then had a break while our lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist and a friend of the band performed an abbreviated acoustic set. We had a kind of rough second set and shortened the last set because the paying customers had all gone home. That happens a lot when playing to audiences our age, for some reason!
Unfortunately, FunkGenerator was unable to make it so I didn't get to drool on his new Ken Smith bass. I'll catch up with him soon, though. I may try to make it to your gig at the Hyperion if my wife doesn't have other plans.

It's been a little quiet here this month. Who all are playing gigs currently in the Knoxville area?

I am lined up to play the musical "Little Shop" at West HS next month.

Lost Creek Shakers will be at the Powell Eagles Club on Feb 9th for a Valentines Dance!!! That's pretty much Knoxville; just off Callahan.

Yup. I have one and its my main player. My band will be at the Eagles club in Powell on 2/9. Be glad to let you play it if you want to stop by. I'm in Morristown if that's closer and we have a gig here on 3/1 at the Elks.

Hey guys, after nearly 3 years of working to get the right musicians with the right mindset and schedules together, I finally have it!!! We have 2 powerhouse lead singers: a male who also plays acoustic guitar, and a young woman that can sing anything from country to Led Zeppelin..... and YES... she looks good too!! Our lead guitarist also plays keys and sings backup. We will be doing everything from Sir Mix-A-Lot to Muse, Miranda Lambert to Red Hot Chili Peppers... if it's fun, we will be playing it!
