Well went out to meet code911 last night. Very nice fellow and I enjoyed listening to him play and talking to him. He was trying out his new MarkBass combo amp.

Right now I am using a TH500 and two SVT210AV's and a Warwick Streamer Standard. And I am going to buy this bass here.

WOW!!! Congrats bro........ that has got to be (IMO) the best looking EBMM I have ever seen!!! Simply beautiful!!!
Sounds like you have a great setup; I play a lot of Warwicks too; I bet your Streamer Standard is awesome too!!

Yeah it is sweet! As for the Wick, well I am still thinking that it made need an improvement in the electric dept.

I've spoken to the pastor at my church and received permission to have the GTG in the multi-purpose room at the church I attend. It is in Morristown, conveniently located halfway between Knox Vegas and the Tri-Cities. I would be happy to host a spring GTG. Just let me know if the location would work. It's in a very easy to find location.

Kudzu sounded great Friday night at Lincoln's in Oak Ridge.

BTW, my band will play there May 3rd.

We need to get some dates going around. The two previous GTG's have been on Sunday afternoons. That normally will keep gig schedules from being a barrier to attending. So I'll throw out Sunday, March 31, 1-5 pm as a tentative date. I will have to confirm the date with the church office once we are agreed. Some of you met my drummer, Shane, at the last GTG. I mentioned it to him this morning and he is excited about it and willing to help host. Wouldn't be surprised if the remainder of my guys show up as well. I also have a little secret surprise that may be in the offing that I'll keep to myself for now. The floor is open for discussion...

Looks like iamoldschool is stepping up to bat with a GTG in Mo'town in March! River Oaks is always open to hosting another, but no need to have a spring one here if we have one hosted up the road. Looking forward to another, wherever it may be!

Was a busy weekend in Oak Ridge this past. I met both SecretCityGuy and Jedi Bass while I was playing at Lincoln's Friday night. Saturday night was at the Eagles club but a disgruntled neighbor kept calling the cops so we quite a half hour early to keep the locals happy.

Hey guys,

My band is looking to do a gig in Chattanooga on Saturday, March 23rd. Does anyone here have any venue hookups/venue suggestions or networking connections with bands they could provide me? We've done JJ's Bohemia before, but they're unfortunately booked for that date. The rest of the venues I'm finding seem too large for a band our size or are catered to a much different crowd than what we go for.

Friday 3/8 at Preservation Pub, with The Royal Hounds as the opening band. We're playing midnight-2AM.

Any more talk about a GTG?

The last I heard the discussion was aimed at the last weekend in March which I'm OK with - but turns out to be Easter weekend.

I'm planning another vacation around this even so some plans need to be made. Any chance we can stir up these talks again?
