In general, are there many band gigs available on the ET lakes, such as marina restaurant/bars, private parties, and the like? I've heard about there being a fair amount of live music still during the summer months on the lakes. It sounds like a fun scene, maybe more so than it really is, but a scene nonetheless.

I have a friend who talked earlier this year about starting a Buffet-style cover band and playing the lake scene. That, coupled with code911's mention of the lake gig, prompts this query. My friend didn't get this going this year, I'm hoping he will next year and I'll finally get to play in a band again.. that is, if there are actually some waterfront gigs out there.

I couldn't figure out why it was so quiet on this thread. Thought that I better come looking for everyone. Sure enough a new thread was started!

It really stinks that I wasn't able to attend. We had a family emergency to contend with. I'll make it to the next one if it kills me.

Pretty quiet on my end. Working a few guys on a classic rock project. No new gear except that I am having BNA build me a Dually with Faitals. I'll post up some pics when I pick it up next month.

Big bass love to everyone. Make it funky now !

Hey All, the band I play with
(http://www.stevehayesandthehurricanes.com) will be in Maggie Valley, during The Thunder in the Smokies Motorcycle Rally at the Tiki House on Saturday night the 15th.
Has anyone played there? Trying to decide what cab to bring, but do not know the size of the venue. I use either a Hartke 410 or an SVT 810 and more than likely will not be running thru a pa system. Thanks for any info.

Awesome! I'll be the one with the white P-bass!

How about it Zoomie? Will Mrs. Zoomie let you out of the house at that hour?

I believe that she will considering that she kept me out last night for the EJ concert until zero dark thirty. I am dragging butt today !

So if no rehearsal and I don't have to go to Nash Vegas to pick up my new cabinet, I'd be happy to come out and support a bottom dwelling brother.

Great! We can just have a mini GTG right there this Friday night! I think Funk Generator is planning to attend, as well. He even offered a crash pad for us after the gig! Lookin' like a fun night!

I already gave the Mrs a heads up. I'll send a PM Thursday night to confirm.

Looking forward to it!
