You know, I stopped taking lessons with Ed because of the distance factor, but now I'm starting to think 70 miles isn't that far. (digs out 7th chord lesson from ed...)

He does lessons via Skype as well, just FYI...

Ed you always sound like a total boss. Really digging this Smith on you, you wear it well, to turn a phrase.

I don't care for/can't quite handle a 6 string, but I'm starting to think I should have a 5 string strung E-C for jazz/soloing gigs.

Welcome to the internet. Modern day Juvenile detention.

Disappointing.
Oh come on now, would you begrudge an old man a little fun? And by the way, I didn't slump to his level... I stooped. Big difference! Now... perhaps we can put this unsavory experience behind us and get back to the business at hand? My upcoming review of Crate's new 15-watt practice amp!

Another vote for Ed. The video reviews are great and really gave me some insight on how to audition gear before buying. Ed, keep doing what you do. You are a fine example for all of us. Aloha!

just wow Ed you so kill man I wish I had studied more "o" that Be Bop stuff. In truth it's my unwillingness to embrace 4 to 6 hour a day pracitice sessions. I did do that in a younger day. I've forgotten more Jaco than I care to remember. I hate old timers disease.....

I agree that Ed is a great bassist. I bought an instructional video just because Ed was the instructor. I'm not very good at slap, but Ed's explanation has put me in the right direction!!

I've bought stuff on the strength of an Ed review as well. Plus his videos have shown me some quite useful stuff about improving my EQ.

You won't hear a word against him from me.

And, if you're lucky, while on Skype with Ed you might see Dawn in the background doing the housework while wearing a French maid costume

Ed, you've SINGLEHANDEDLY set back bass playing.......or at least, have made Schmendricks like me look bad in comparison. Please refrain from posting youtube clips like this so that my employers won't find them and in turn ask me why the $%&* I can't do any of that stuff!!!!

I need a new 15 watt practice amp, so I'm looking forward to your review, Ed.

And, I'm sorry--having a different opinion is one thing. Character assassination is another. If someone tells me that they don't like Sadowsky basses (for example) because of how they sound or feel, that's fine. If someone tells me that Sadowsky (for example only) is a blight on the world of bass guitars and makes the worst basses known to mankind, that's not fine. See the difference?

Someone insulted my friend, and I told him to put up, or shut up. I'd have done the same thing to his face.
Word.

i love ed's reviews and he was a major factor in me getting my L2k, but i i'd like to see him go to a pawn shops or bargain basement type stores and rock out some weird old vintage equipment someday, maybe like diners, drive ins, and dives i guess, probably more of a reality show than a review, he seems to have a great sense of humor and i think he'd be very interesting outside of his studio

Personally, I like having two windows open on my computer. One side of the screen with lesbian porn, the other side with Ed's reviews. I listen to Ed, and watch the girls. Besides, Ed killed my Uncle Guisseppe, but he had it coming too.
