I think I'm going to try to catch their show this tuesday in NYC. I hear they're good live and always hang out and sign stuff for all the fans that wait, so hopefully I'll get to meet her

I'm not a big fan of their music but they seem nice to me when I went to X Fest last year. The mix was pretty bad for their set but they were energetic live.

Meh. It's hard to tell with the choppy editing and excessive panning whether she's really beautiful or if she just looks cool with her hair flying around. Good aggressive bass tone, which ain't that hard to pull of when you're flailing like that. Utterly worth less song. I would expect a band called The Sick Puppies to frighten me. They do not, which disappoints me deeply.

Just got back from seeing Sick Puppies live at Irving Plaza in NYC. Great live band. Very good energy, good crowd interaction and good sound/blend.

Emma's tone was awesome. Very heavy and thumpy but still very clear. It shocked me to see how light she plays when she picks. I thought her tone was mostly her Warwick with a hard picking style, but it isn't. She picks very lightly for the most part. Her slap is pretty fierce, and being someone that can't slap worth a damn I was impressed. She doesn't play fingerstyle often, but did a few times during the set, and like her pick technique, its very light. She's almost caressing the strings (it's sexy lol) Doesn't leave room for speed, but she only really does it during quiet parts of the songs.

As far as whether or not she is hot in person... Yes. Yes she is. I was 3 ft from the barricade on her side so she was right in front of me and she is smoking hot. I got a pick signed by her after the show when the band was hanging out by their merch table, and again- she's gorgeous. Beautiful face and smokin body. Plus she's a bassist, and a pretty decent one at that which automatically boosts her hotness level.

So yes. I am in love.

Saw the band last night and I had front row all night long. She rocked it! Her tone was to die for! After the last song she walked up to me and personally handed me her pick and bumped knuckles with me. Very cool person, and very fun to talk to.

I' m sure she always is used to guys telling her how hot she is, so when I brought up her Warwick bass she seemed kinda taken shocked, and really wanted to talk more after I said that. She was really nice to meet.

I'm not into their music, and to each their own... but I have to say, calling her the "female flea" borders on the ludicrous (have you even seen flea slap?)... to me that's up there with calling someone the "white oprah".

She's definitely a tasty little morsel....only reason I'd kick her out of bed is to *#$% her on the floor...

On a serious note though, she does have some good chops and I do like a lot of her bass lines.

I think she is talented and the band has a few songs I like well enough (Odd One, All the Same, Riptide). She has an interesting style and a great tone, so I give her a thumbs up!

My take is similar to some others here;

yes, she's a babe

yes, she's a good bassist. Not legendary good, but good lines and good tone.

But from what I've listened to so far (which is not a whole lot, but a fair bit), the band's songs as a whole are not very interesting. It would be intriguing to hear what happened if she played with someone else, or if they got a new songwriter or producer or something.

No depth, no originality.
A reasonably pretty female bassist is just not enaugh.
...Sorry.
+1. I found myself predicting the chord and dynamic changes.

Still, she's playing something better than the usual minimum necessary.

Why does it matter what she looks like, exactly?
