he used music mans for a long time. when i saw them he played a hollow body through an swr henry 8x8 cab. sounded ridiculously deep. i think a lot of the studio recordings are done on keyboards as well. hes a good bass keyboard player.

Early on he used a Fender JAzz that had stickers all over it. He did play keys but mostly jsut organ to make the percussive chords reggae is known for. I know he did use Music Man basses from all the live performances ive seen. I used to be a huge Sublime fan and I still really like Eric Wilson as a bassist. The thing that amazes me is how him and the drummer ( who were way into punk music) grabbed ahold of reggae and how well they switched from punk to reggae. Sublime is a great band that could play about any genre. The only thing that usually stops me from listening to them is I cant stand hearing a curse word every other word.

a little digging through Archive.org yielded this... although it's really not what I remembered from the last time I dug through guitargeek (ages ago).... he later started using a Koll bass called the Thunderglide. He also later switched to SWR amps while with Sublime, and ran a couple of Big Bens and some other cabs, and used a DBX subharmonizer a lot.
