Eric Wilson - Sublime

Does anyone know how Eric Wilson from Sublime (and now LBDA) gets that warm, fuzzy and loveable sound out of his bass? Is it the bass itself, an amp head, effects pedals, a combination?

Its his amplification system I believe. I remember reading somewhere he used 18" subs or something of that sort.

He drives his active, servo driven Meyer sound 2x18"s with his DBX120XP. I use one as well with an active sub for big rooms. Good stuff.

Some of it was also his basses-- the Sabre especially has a very nice dub tone out of the neck pickup.
