Well - surely this is in the wrong part of the forum - it should be in DB rather than BG!

If anybody has a claim... it is DB-land!!

There's a loooong line.

Seriously, though, what an engaging performer. She just radiates joy in every clip I've seen.

Esperanza is amazing. Check out this video of her doing a solo bass/vocals thing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwmb0uKVJWg

Couldn't find this song anywhere either. Must be something new she wrote and hasn't recorded yet.

Saw her live at a local jazz festival this summer. Amazing musician, I'm not normally into jazz but she's definitely a stellar musician. Would love to check out more of her work.

I was hooked at first listen... Couldn't stop watching videos on youtube and pre-ordered her CD right away. Her music still puts a smile on my face. I'll be seeing her for the 3rd time next month. Both times her playing and singing were spot on and her band grooves like crazy!

My god, can she get any more stupendously awesome. Simply stunning in every way.

I still am blown away by her performance as part of the Stevie Wonder tribute at the White House. Totally killing it on a solo bass/vocal performance, and then, what the heck, backing up Tony Bennett.

This woman is STUPID GOOD.

Here's one of her getting down on a fretless and not looking too bad either

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9uWU...eature=related

She used to play a Doolin fretless which was sweet, but I guess it got busted up while touring.

Every once in a while a truly brilliant talent comes along and brings clarity to the music scene. There is no question that she is the real thing. What a breath of fresh air!
