Ever Wonder If Famous Bassists Lurk the Forums ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was just wondering what would be going through their minds. The constant debates about who's better and who's worse, the gear they use, their technique etc. I mean most of them wouldn't have accounts and just lurk and the shadows...

What do you think ?

Some do. They rarely post (if ever) let alone debate anything.

I guess having a job playing bass doesn't leave you yearning to talk/argue about it with random internet peoples.

nah i doubt it. everyone here (for the most part) has valid arguments and reasons, and we all usually agree that everything about music is subjective. Just because people have made good money out of doing what they (and we alike) love, doesn't mean they all see themselves as gods.

if i were famous i'd probably still post on here every now and then. In between my hundred woman orgies.

Well, I'm not a famous bassists and, from my perspective, I'd have to say that some of them do.

...wow, and I'm not even famous!

some people say 'a few do ' or that guy or whatever, fact is not a single really famous player posts here. why? they got better things to do..... unlike me who is not famous or good.

i think the sadowsky v sx threads scare them away also.

I know of a few, but I won't call them out by name. They deserve the same annonymity that the rest of us enjoy.

Ya, I would say Johnny from Staind is "really famous" and on top of that he is super cool.

+1

Heck, that one jerk that posts here that you just can't stand, could actually be your favorite bassist. That's part of the allure of the internet.

go out in the streets and ask for the name of staind's bassplayer or show a pic of the guy and ask who he is. no offense to the guy if he reads it here, but you have to be realistic.

imo famous= macca, sting, roger waters, clayton, flea......(yes there's a pattern here)
