If you've heard Stern then you must at least admit that he's the King of All media.

Never been a fan, his brand of humor always seemed too "easy" to me. Who can't think of something they really shouldn't say? And people who are shocked by someone they know is trying to shock them can't be very bright IMO. I'll give him credit for catering to his fanbase.

At some point don't you just have to say: "You know what? I "can" believe he just said that".

Will Lee is great. Been a fan since the 70's.

not your brand of humor = all good.

inferring that stern's fans listen because they are shocked = bad assumption

stereotyping a fanbase of millions of people as having low intelect = ignorance

i've been a die hard fan of stern for quite some time now and the one thing he never does is shock me. he does, however, entertain me to the point that i've been late to work because i wanted to hear how things panned out on the show.

love him or hate him, that's your choice, but flaming people for their tastes in entertainment is a pretty good way to come across as foolish and ignorant. feel free to make whatever assumptions/stereotypes you'd like about my (or any stern fans') intellect or salary or lifestyle and I garauntee the only thing you'll find in common with all stern fans is that we are all fans of stern. you can file those stereotypes in the trash with any other stereotypes you have about race, religion, etc...they are all useless and will only make you look the fool.

R.I.F.

There are people who won't listen to Stern because he shocks them. That's what I inferred. Are you a fan? Is that why you thought I inferred otherwise?

I said the people who are shocked by him. Would they be fans? No... and as far as fans go, dick and lesbian jokes are most definitely highbrow. The epitome no less

Consider what you wanted to read into the simple statement I made, I'd think me looking like a fool isn't the issue

I don't hate Stern, I couldn't care less about him. I'm indifferent. That seems to be a position that many people who love Stern like yourself simply can't seem to comprehend.

As far as flaming people for their tastes in entertainment, no need. It speaks for itself. There's nothing wrong with book clubs, C-SPAN, greased pigs, tractor pulls or antique roadshows... if you're that self-conscious about what you like, IMO that says way more about you than anyone who you think is flaming you.

Talking

i'm very proud of what i enjoy (if i wasn't, i certainly would not post about it here - ). i only responded to your post because i like to poke fun at folks who make broad generalizations.

i find it funny and interesting when people pass judgement on others that they've never met. to me, it is always interesting to put those stereotypes/prejudices/generalizations/opinionated-facts/etc under a microscope to see just how silly (and inaccurate) they are. another great example of this can be seen here:

Broad generalization or you simply misreading and going into kneejerk mode?

Show me where you were "poking fun" at me. You weren't. You were upset because you thought I was calling people like you stupid. Like you expected it. Let's not get into why you think someone would call you stupid.

Could you be more full of it? Highly doubtful. I explained what you initially didn't understand and you CONTINUE to be completely in the dark. If I wanted to say Stern's fans are stupid, it's very easy to type just that. Once more, there are people who aren't fans who continue to be "shocked" by what he does. IMO that's not very bright... as if they don't know that's what he's trying to do.

I guess it is. You neglected to COMPREHEND quite a bit... even with it parsed repeatedly for you. I'm sure there's no connection to that and you being a Stern fan.

Enjoy the show.

That persecution complex is paying off big time.

You said it, I didn't. Therefore I can't be right about it.
