Faces on the Mount Rushmore of Funk Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
If you could re-create Mount Rushmore using the four most important bass players in the funk world who would they be? Although you can choose only one in the poll, give me your suggestion for your top four. Hey! I just realized that I was in such a rush that I forgot Verdene White in the poll!

People are entitled to their opinions, but my opinion is that any list without Larry Graham is a joke.

This is ridiculous. The top 4 funk bassists list is indisputable:

James Jamerson, Larry Graham, Bootsy and Marcus Miller. In that order.
I voted for Marcus tho, cos the other three are way ahead and he needed some help!

I would also gather that she probably doesn't like the fact that you don't know what or where Mount Rushmore is. Unless you're not an American, in which case I would understand.
