Flamenco-style acoustic jam; Hetfield lifted the main riff and dumbed it down for one of the songs on the album. Duff McKagen plays rhythm guitar in his side band, and is probably a better guitar player than bassist lol !

reid mathis used to occasionally rock a les paul with jacob fred jazz odyssey
marc friedman of the slip sometimes plays guitar
doug mccombs of tortoise plays guitar and fender vi
dave pajo plays guitar in certain projects (papa m, slint, zwan)
kim gordon of sonic youth is about 50/50 with guitar and bass these days
sheryl crow plays both... don't know which is her main squeeze
greg burns of red sparowes plays bass and pedal steel
ben kenney from incubus was a guitarist for the roots
