Famous bass players in movies

I was watching worlds greatest dad its a movie about a son who dies acciddentally from masterbating and choking himself at the same time and everyone hated him before he died. His dad made it appear as if he died of a real sucide and wrote a suicide not everyone before his death hated him at school but now that he was dead he was reinvented and the kids idolized him and saw him as someone they loved.

Well there is a small scene where a man comes up and pats robin williams on the back as he cries over his son. I paused the movie and was like wait a sec thats krist noveslic of nirvana, the irony is that after Kurt died he became like a god to people. I thought it was funny and i like krist.

Any other bass players that have been in movies? someone told me duff mckagan did some movie or show

Flea has been in a lot of movies: Back to the Future II and III, The Big Lebowski, etc.

Donald Duck Dunn was in The Blues Brothers movies.

All of Blink 182 was in American Pie.

I'm sure there are more, but that's what I've got off the top of my head.

John Doe (X) has been in a ton of movies and TV series.
X is a great band, and he's got a killer voice.

Gene Simmons has played a few bad guys in the movies. I think "wanted dead or alive" is a title that comes to mind.

Tony Levin plays himself in One Trick Pony.

Slightly OT: I was channel surfing the other night and came across some TV show with a young kid doing a goofy James Brown impersonation in his living room (turned out to be an episode of Everybody Hates Chris), and I noticed the bass player in the kid's backup band was Marcus Miller!

Let's not forget his stellar performance in that instant classic "KISS meets the Phantom of the Park"!
