Of all the famous bassist, you choose Paul Grey? I can imagine the rants coming. Ive met Victor, talked to Bernie Bauer of Big Organ Trio online for monthes, and got an email back from Tom Morello (not a bassist).

On the same day, I talked to:

Michael Anthony (Van Halen)
Billy Sheehan
Nathan East
and Frank Gambale. Not a bass player, but he was there too. It was a Yamaha special event in L.A.

It was a good day.

On other occasions, I've met:

Michael Manring
Victor Wooten
Bunny Brunel
Richard Bona
Jimmy Johnson
Kai Eckhardt
Rufus Reid
Benny Rietveld

I hung out with Dave Larue after a Dixie Dregs gig once. My drummer was friends with their drummer so I was in a good place to be that night.

in T.O.

I drank with Jaco, a bunch of beer that is. (one year before he died)

When I was 16, I strummed Stanley's bass as he held it out to me from the stage.
Mark King once,....Michael Anthony once, but that was just because he was golfing with my cousin Jim Dunlop.

I spoke at length to Billy Sheehan who came in to see us the day before a gig in San Antonio. Talk about the pucker factor going up to 10 when I found out he was in the house.

Rex Brown of Pantera/Down is a crazy mofo!

Steve Harris was a joy to talk to and I got to watch Iron Maiden play a round of soccer against their crew. It was pretty gnarly!
