So... I don't have much reason for posting this, but I've always for some reason thought it was cool when I read that people like Hendrix played bass too. So I found some cool pictures of some old school famous guitarists who played bass... how well? I dunno. They at least played it long enough for a photo op.
I dunno if anyone actually cares about these dudes playing bass or not, but I thought it was cool that these guitar legends actually even so much as held a bass back when it was so "uncool" to play one! If anyone road has some pictures of anyone else, I'd like to see em!

I think the tracks he played on were Pigs(three different ones) and One of These Days and many others where waters main role was singing/songwriting.David said he played on half the recordings because Roger didn't want to improve his playing.

guitar (par normal)
bass (not so normal, but he plays like a bassist, not a guitarist)
Well, not that famous, but lots of famous people know him. Willie, ZZ Top, Govt. Mule, Double Trouble to name a few.
Big Sugar are on a Canada wide tour now, with Wide Mouth Mason opening. Gordie plays bass for WMM and then guitar and vocals for Big Sugar.

| | | | Steve Howe played bass on most of his solo albums. I even remember seeing a picture in the old Musician Magazine circa ~1979 of him in the recording studio playing a Gibson EB6, but Google is not my friend so can't summon that image up. |

Yeah that very well could be him, he did work with Jeff Beck so that makes sense. Still a cool bass he's playing.

My boy Richie Kotzen plays GREAT bass on all his albums (as well as drums and all the vocals). He's a really great bass player, knows right when to lay back and lock it down. Check out the nice jazz bass in the video above.
